1912

The benchwork has been painted my earth/mud color to give it a more finish look.

Suddenly it hit me, "PAINT THE BENCHWORK!".  I had never planned to paint the benchwork, but if I was going to do it, now was the time.  This session became a painting day!.  I painted the joists along the ceiling white to blend with the existing ceiling and to reflect light back down to the layout.  Jim gave the styrene backdrop a coat of white primer.  Tom, Paul, and Don painted the benchwork earth, the same latex earth I use for my water soluble scenery and layout fascia.  Now that it is done, I'm glad we painted the benchwork.  The layout has a "clean" look about it.
