Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes RR

circa 1912

Strong, ME

The approach to Strong from Phillips.  The mainline heads right past the Strong station and on to Farmington, the interchange with the MEC.  The Kingfield branch curves away to the left.  The foam construction shows below the homabed.

At Strong there was an engine house and turntable which were used for servicing and turning locomotives that came off the Kingfield branch.  As of 12/16 mockups serve as the station, engine house, and water plug.

The Main St. crossing in Strong.  In the background, a train is approaching from Philllips.
