Background
The Waynesburg and Washington Railroad was a
28 mile 3 foot gauge subsidiary of the Pennsylvania Railroad. From the
1870's through the 1920's the line served its namesake towns in Southwestern
Pennsylvania. After the 1930's, the line did struggle on, but mostly on
paper. Today, all that remains from the railroad's heyday is one
locomotive, a few stations, and a few images. To learn more about the
Waynie, read Aaron's introduction.

Waynesburg & Washington Today:
- Introduction to the W&W - Arron
Macovitch provides historical background and images of the
Washington County stations as they existed in 2000.
- Restoring W&W #4 - Jim
Weinschenker was involved in the cosmetic restoration of 2-6-0 #4,
the only remaining locomotive.
